Hello,
I am following the instructions to download and installing the DUO SDK from this web
http://wiki.ros.org/duo3d-driver
without success…

After to download the DUO SDK (step 2.1) I use this command (/DUODriver/ReadMe.txt):
sudo insmod duo-1024-$(uname -r).ko

and I obtain this error:
insmod: ERROR: could not load module duo-1024-4.4.0-36-generic.ko: No such file or directory

Checking in the directory
/CL-DUO3D-LIN-1.0.80.20/DUODriver/
I realize that “duo-1024-4.4.0-36-generic.ko” file do not exist. The last file is “...4.4.0-31…”

Could you help me?
Maybe you have to update the downloading files of DUO SDK.

Regards

Hi Gustavo,

We are regularly updating the DUO SDK build and kernel module files for the most recent Linux kernel version.
The latest Linux version of DUO SDK contains the 4.4.0-36-generic duo driver.

Hi Alex,
I cleaned the “src” directory of catkin and I tried to build DUO driver without success.
As I verified, the header file mentioned is not present in the directory. I attached the error for your reference.
Basically, I can start to use the device with ROS.

As an additional comment, after the previous attempt I went to: https://duo3d.com/docs/downloads  and I download the Version 1.0.80.20 for Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS, even if I have the version 16.
I got an error during the extraction of the zip file, however it extract the files.
During the installation, I got an error and the DuoDashboard was not installed. However I can see in “dev” the duo0 node when I connect the device.

I hope the info can help you.
Regards.

Hi Gustavo,

From your email to support, it seems that you resolved the issue with missing ROS file by rebuilding the DUO ROS driver.

To answer your second problem, it is clear that your downloaded zip file is corrupted. Please download it again.

Hi Alex,
after some days I returned to the action smile
In fact I was able to uncompress the DUO Driver and SDK without errors only with 7zip running Win7.

After uncompressing, I got: 686 items, totalizing 199.9 MB (also see the screenshot)

Please, could you confirm if this is correct? ... because in the next post I will show the error that appeared when I build the DUO ROS pkg.

Thanks
G
