The DUO M/MLX sensors were purpose built as short range sensor. Depending on specific algorithms and lighting conditions the recommended range of the DUO sensor is 0.23-2.5 meters. This can be extended with a smaller FOV and/or external illuminators as well as using different algorithms/techniques for measuring depth/objects.
The fully programmable LED Array allows users to “program” the sequences that control the timing, firing and brightness of the 3 IR LEDs. We use custom firmware code in conjunction with an LED driver to do this, not an FPGA.
The DUO M/MLX both provide 3 pins on the PCB which allow for the following configurations: SYNC_IN – Allows to force camera exposure time with external device signal.
